Went to the deli at the Uptown Sushi and Grill, in Fairfax to try out the “Tabacco Quay” their version of the tuna-sandwich – a very interesting version.
It come with fresh basil, sauerkraut and plenty of tuna salad and is served on a kaiser roll grilled in a panini-maker.
The tuna salad was okay, not too much mayonnaise. The sauerkraut was a bit too sour for my taste, but I kinda liked combination of flavors and I have to giving it three stars for being interesting and different.
Recommend it or not?
Go for it. If you are a tiny bit adventurous you should try it out. And if you are not in the mood for sandwiches you could give their sushi and fusion food a try. They have lots of other tuna items on their menu.
